Folks Of Interest Are you looking for a Flathead Ford V8 core?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by mctim64, Nov 18, 2013.

  1. I hope this is the "appropriate forum" for this I'm just trying to get the word out about this mans collection.

This weekend i was introduced to the father of an old friend of mine that has been collecting Flathead V8 cores for quite a number of years. He disassembles them and cleans them up then if he needs one he will start some work on them. He informed me that he would like to sell some of these cores. He's 83 years old and doesn't think he will have time to play with them all. He has dozens of 8BAs and 59s, I don't exactly how many of each. He has set up a FB page to show them off so I will post the link and if anyone is interested they can contact Lee directly.

If this is not the place for this thread I'm sure the moderators will let me know.

    Cheers!

You gotta love that test stand, and axle storage system.

    Anybody need some wheels?

    Cool stash.

  3. The "test stand" is actually a pump that circulates a rust eating solution to clean the water jackets. Pretty neat really. :) This guys got a lot of time on his hands in retirement and he likes to invent things.

Well, that makes sense now that I look at it.

He's got some serious machining equipment, also.

Cool - after visiting Vern Tardel's Yard Sale, and seeing this is something that we will see more and more of - old car guys with tons on classic old car stuff to get rid of with few takers.
