I'm finding that as I age (67), less is more. I don't belong to the school of, "The man who dies with the most toys wins."

Bought one running, driving at auction from OKCPD in 1963 for $65. Today, with inflation figured in, it would be worth $591.42. I don't suppose you'd sell yours for that? ;)

No, Never had the storage area or the time for multiple projects at the same time all my life, self employed Tool & Die/Pattern shop owner 36 years and I was always in the 5# in a 2# bag situation, home and shop. 21 years my Midget and then Sprint car race operation squeezed into my 2 car garage w/loft/ heated/ac, races and championships were won out of that garage, space was a serious problem, in Winter a 1 car garage as wife's car went in, But when there's a will, there's a way, built a small barn type storage building. I prepared for my retirement, on 3 acres I built the garage space I always wanted with new 1750 square ft house, 28x44 heated /ac sq Ft garage, new 30x54 pole building with a lift, total 2864 sq ft garages, I accumulated through the years tools, equipment up the wazoo along with some skills. The dreams/plans of a few complete builds I had in my retirement never happened. I always had 1 driver hobby car, then ended up with 7 cars, 5 hobby, 2 daily driver, still have 3 OT hobby and now 1 daily driver. No regrets, once out of racing I've owned every toy there is along with hobby cars so all is good and stayed married this time 38 years. LOL

As a young man I worked my ass off and liked it! Held three jobs at times! Started collecting “ things” at an early age, figuring I would like to have them to build when I retired. Well now in my seventies I don’t have that urge to build stuff , like I did when I was younger. I’m too busy partying, traveling, riding, four wheeling and stuff like that. But my back up plan was that if I don’t use my things in my old age, I can sell them, if I need to.
Everyone is different, some like the one project at a time and a super neat shop….I am not that guy….sometimes I wished I was.
Like the old saying. “ Different strokes for different folks”
