Good day just a question? I purchased a 1929 RPU kit from last refuge (Norb) and have no Manufactuers certification of orgin and no vin number
I am very happy with the vehicle but am concerned with registeration here in Arizona. Anyone have info that will help?

I'd suggest calling and asking. That doesn't seem to be covered online.

Is the kit all new components, some old, some new, modified old?
Do you have a reciept for the purchase detailing all components?
The better the paper trail with details you have, the better.
The MVD can issue a VIN, but get all the info you can before hauling it up for the inspection and VIN install. Good Luck!

I ask some of the local guys that have done it and there general opinion is it is not hard to do. They will issue a new vin tag.

For home built, hope you kept all your reciepts for prooof of where the parts came from. Then go for inspection, probably level 2 OR 3 but let them tell you that. After inspetion they will give you a State ***igned VIN number on a Blue foil sticker they will attach to your vehicle.

We also ***le cars based on what they most resemble. So, a 1929 kit would get a 1929 ***le.

Yep ***igned ID number is what you will get. Did my 27 T 3 years ago up at the north 59th Ave location ,in and out in 90 minutes with plate and paper. Had a LARGE stack of receipts and no parts had any factory id numbers ,think that made it easier. Volunteer nothing ,just give what is ask for.

Good advice from the Az members here and easy to do when you get a DMV inspector who isn't having a bad day.

Don't ever go to Washington and 27 st location. They wouldn't even do a YOM for my 54, had to go to Scottsdale for that.
