Startin to be a lot of Arkys posting and lurking on here. There are no cool(HAMBesque) car clubs here in the NW corner that I'm aware of. Looks like enough guys to start a club in Southern Arkansas if you guys get together. What about us guys up here in Northwest Arkansas? Any interest? lets take a quick head count and include any friends who ya know that won't see this and maybe how far you'd be willing to drive for gatherings. Maybe we can have one club with a North and South chapter. ARKIES UNITE!
Here,Here!!!!!! We need this in this state bad........there's too many gearhead/Camaro/Riceburner, coffee can muffler having types and not enough Kustom guys. I have a great solution to the geographical problem.......We can all meet here in Little Rock somewere since I live here and everyone will be happy!!!! LOL......seriously though, we do need to get together at least if just we can go to a show representing Arkansas. I can speak from personal experience when I say that its much better to travel as a group since I'm bad about driving a damn jalopy! I might could use a good machanic somewere out on I-40 between here and Memphis!

I am just on the north side of the state line about 30 miles. I do not join clubs but we could meet up at a show or cruise night. Not tonight though as it is really snowing here now and it is to be near zero wind chills in the morning. I will do my hot rodding in a nice warm shop for awhile. You are all welcome to come north for a visit. I am building on a car everyday. Sometimes it is a customer's car and sometimes on my own.
I really dont want to create a club but rather a group of guys that like to get together, cruize and have a brew or two. Theres way too much bs involved in clubs, been there, done that, bought the t-shirt! Maybe we all could hook up for Cruizen Branson Lights or somthing.
Now, doggone it, when i was still living in Arkansas last september, there were TWO arkies who would post that I knew of....sheesh.... ahhhh, petit jean swap meet, used to drive up thru dardanelle to get there (from Ozark), that was the hightlight of my year...i know a certain hamb'r who sets up there almost every year... sheesh..I miss the old days when we had Hangin Dice...blah blah blah rant & rave....im gonna shut up now...
That sounds like a good idea to me.(petit jean) If there is a HAMBer with a booth we could meet there.
I'm in Maud,Tx....right close to a stone's throw from Texarkana. Petit Jean is nice, but don't forget the Rod Run on Queen Wilamena Mountain, near Mena,Ar. We never miss it! It's usually pretty cool (weather) up on the mountain, but man was it a scorcher last year! It's held the weekend before Labor Day weekend.
the rest of the story on petit jean: her beau went to the new world with some explorer, she disguised herself as a man and signed up to be on the ship...she died while in what is now arkansas, her identity was discovered, her man cried and sobbed and stuff and supposedly buried her on petit jean mountain overlooking the valley below... this is just what I can remember from reading the sign by her "grave"....they did some kind of sonar thing and all that is buried there are rocks... nice view of the valley from the site though, if any of you go, you should check it out....
Arkansas is sort of a small state so if you kats and kittens are serious about getting together I'm all for it. What about a big bbq at the park in Hot springs or something like that then maybe a inpromtu cruise up senic 7 to Eureca or Branson. In any case everyone should be at the Ft. Smith show (hint hint). There will be several shows in Little Rock this year as well and don't forget Americruise will be making its way through the "Rock" this year also. So as the KKOA says pick a show and go. I'm looking forward to meeting each of you at the shows.
Yea lets all stay intouch and just try to hook up at a local show or even a cruise night...........Any of ya'll ever go to the Sheridan Sonic cruise? I know its still a while for that one but its about half way I think........
Damn there is alot more people from arkansas on here and to think I thought all people built here in arkansas were 4x4's and hay haulers. Just kiddin. I'll be going to ft. smith I know. I should be at the Ft. Smith show if you mean the one in August. When is Americruise comin through? I heard it has changed its route and not going to Springfield MO.
The last i herd Americruise was going through Hope on its way to Little Rock where it will stop for a small show and cruise that night then the next day its on to Springfield. If this is not correct please someone let me know because I don't want to waste vacation time. Don I'm not sure what you mean about Grant not telling you about shows if we know of something someone will let you know if not Grant, or Mike, I will.
