  2. Flyin'P mentioned the detail in the picture. One of the tough things about posting images is the size limitations. I drew the original 10" x 16" and at 250 dpi but saved it at 5" x 8"
and at 95 dpi so a lot of detail is lost. Her are a few details at a higher resolution of some of my favorite features...

The poilot (according to Coupe de Cab, Tiffany, tho I only losely based the character
on her.)(If that is her real name...)

Dig them reverse steelies and that well dressed mouse:

... and then there's the sign. The first was the original name for the Diner but then
my 14 year old son suggested "the Frying Saucer" and I sat there a second and
replied "Well, Duh!" (Don't you hate when your kids outsmart you?)

Zombie, Jigger, and Norwell, y'all have knocked 'em out the park with your stuff...Oh and thanks Zombie for the new background..That car is mean in pictures...even meaner in person...and way meaner as a Car-toon....Keep up the good work fellas...Oh and Jigger the Coupe on the skate ramp is sweet!! And Norwell I don't think anyone can make a Mustang look cooler as 'toon.

Oh and I just realized I missed a page....Norwell the Willys is super sick...And I love the '27 Chevy Modified Jigger, that's one of my favorite cars!!

And as they make the last turn of the final lap....its Norwell in the lead...wait Zombie makes his patented move up beside Norwell! What the...where did this Jigger car come from? Its three abreast in the straight away...looks like its gonna be a photo finish!

This is fun to watch :D

Like someone said above, you are all winners. I wish I could draw. My idea was to have Plowboy's Atomic Punk drag racing a ufo down a dragstrip and make it a cartoon magazine cover shot, but like I said I don't have the talent like you all and I didn't want to voice my idea just in case it influenced some one. This is the first art challenge I actually voted on. I voted for Jigger but it was a hard decision. Congradulations to all participants.

Jigger, great job! It was a tough call ( between the three that won ), but I did vote for one of the big three! Congratulations are also in order for the prize donators! Nate, thanks for comming up with this idea! I'd like to try this again in the future!

  21. Thank you all for letting me be a part of it all. Thanks for your comments.
As I said to Del in a PM, as far as being one of the "Big Three", I'm AMC
tho I strive to be GM. (when they're healthy.)(Not that being Ford is a bad thing,
...in fact it's a good thing.)(...and Chrysler did give us the HEMI and the Max
Wedge and Cross-Ram,...but they also gave us the K car.)

Congrats Jigger, I really liked yours...That Chevy Modified is just amazing...keep up the good work everybody!!

  23. I did? ... I thought I voted for it 'cuz of the "Teamster Thugs" you sent to my door ... they threatened to break my legs if I didn't vote for your drawing :D

Anyway ... Congrats to Jigger, Zombie, & Jeff ... y'all outdid yourselves on this challenge.

  24. Excellent Nate! We did race actually, first run for both of us. I drilled DW off the line, we kept swapping the lead as the one or the other shifted. DW finally ran me down but not by much. I'm glad I didn't run him later as he adapted to conditions and got a LOT quicker. With both of us on slicks he's about a whole second faster than me. Heavy sigh. Fun to race him any.

BTW thanks for putting me in the lead! ;-)

Are you an artist or a tool salesman?
