  1. This was a hard decision, and I put it off for a while, but i think it's time to do the 1932 Ford Art Challenge. No one can argue the influence the '32 has had to the hot rod world and with Larry being so generous with the prizes on the last few challenges I thought this would be a nice way to say thanks.

the rules are the same as always:

    1. Only post your own art.
    2. Don't post any art that wasn't created specifically for this challenge.

the challenge will end on the 15th of October.

    edit: a real 32

everything else is wide open, have fun!

Oops. When I read this the first time, I misread the second requirement. Want me to delete my previous post?

One more rule- make sure you draw a '32- not a Model A like the example. ;)
You can say it's a "loose drawing"- but '32's don't have visors or the rest of the '30/'31 traits going on.

My 2hr entry -- Imagine a '32 Ford "SuperSport" as if built for Tommy Lee (pre-war Los Angeles / dry lakes enthusiast) in @1946 with an inline supercharged 8-cylinder Duesenberg engine with a 8in longer hood (****pit moved back but stock wheelbase), Alfa 2.9 windscreen, Bugatti T35 aluminum wheels/brakes, tiny racecar fenders (or even fenderless) and a full bellypan. All the parts were readily available in his racecar shop/warehouses at the time.

Gimme a couple of days and I'll post one for sure. Nice stuff you guys have so far!

  8. damn you jim. You made me go back and look and realize that buzzard parked his Model A in the "Deuce Club" thread. Maybe it shows my bias that that is the one I picked to draw.

I'll do a real 32.. and go wipe the egg off my face.

  9. not at all, please leave it for Bill.

Can it be any 1932 Ford....

Or does it have to be a roadster or coupe?

art challenge should get a sticky so we don't have to search for it every day..

  14. I think sticking it for a whole month is a lot to ask.. we usually get to stick it in the last week when it really counts. What we need is good, regular art contributions to keep it at the top! :D

Hey nate, you still got it wrong!!! The steering wheel is on the wrong side LOL Despite that I love your rendering but did you have to rip a page out of a notebook?

I noticed that you found a clean sheet to do the pickup tho.

  17. LOVE the notebook sketch. That roadster is sweet!

    GaryC.

    Imagine
    opening an old garage door.
Through the dusty light it comes into sharp focus.
How did it get there? Whose was it?
How long was it here? Can I make it mine?
    ...and then you wake up!

Ahhh. The stuff that dreams are made of.

There's no way I could treat this Challenge right
with just one post. I think I'm going to do another one... or two.

(Find them as posts #31, #42 and #97 on the next few pages.)

    Here's my first effort.
