    Great stuff again this week! Jigger, that's just too cool... It's like seeing original studio studies for another iconic automobile (ever get the feeling that Harley Earl did a few flips when you penned that?:D )
    And Mighty, your daughter's painting rocks (and ties in nicely with Jigger's stuff) ... and Blackie, we've talked about that piece, you know my love for that one!
    I'm working double-time this week, but thought I'd drag out an alternate version of a Lincoln I sketched a couple years ago...

    I posted this last week but since then, I have added it to MY collection!. It is a "Big Foot" deck by Bulldog Skates www.bulldogskates.com that has been painted with automotive paint, wet sanded and buffed out. Then it was screened with the graphics done by Wes Humpston who IS "Bulldog." He is the man that originated the Dogtown graphics in the 70's and is acknowledged as beginning the whole skateboard graphic genre. THEN, our own Dan Barnett pinstriped it and Wes signed and numbered it "1 of 1" It's a very special piece and I'm thrilled to be getting it.....

  4. I love this illustration. Saw it in R&C.
    I can't stop looking at the reflection of the black car in the gold paint.
    Truly special talent right there Blackie.

    It's a bit on the OT side but i wanted share how awesome this coffee table is!
    It was designed by an old teammate ( Lance Mountain) of mine back on the Bones Brigade:) Still need to order the glass top for it next week, the pool light in the deep end even works:)
    The detail is so amazing up close, this photo doesn't do it justice.

    session anyone?

    Lowcab...Always nice stuff. Really love the bold colors. Has a little Tom Hale feel in the bumper. Here is one I did this week. Part of it was painted while I had the flu...THAT'S SICK!
    The car is being built by Walker's Sinister Hot Rods for LedSled Customs in Dayton Ohio. The cab is a flat green with metallic green firewall and scallops...also very sick.

    Sorta O/T - this is a painting I just finished for a fellow HAMBer whose Grandfather flew this B-24 in WWII. (Adapted from a tiny black and white image) He hasn't seen it yet as it is somehwere between Maine and Texas at the moment, but it should arrive just in time for his father's birthday. Joe, I hope you like it, I think it looks a lot better in person...
    ... a little nervous here.:eek:

    @Gigantor
    Was it you that I did a color version of that for? I worked on that for
    someone on here, just don't remember who. Turned out fantastic.

    @Dankyd
    Thanks for the compliment. To include me in a sentence with Tom
    Hale...He does some incredible artwork, and I didn't even know who
    he was till I went looking

    Here's a couple of my feeble pinstriping attempts #5 and #6. They
    are both about 6" tall each one. I tend to get too busy with the design. I keep on going because I'm having too much fun with it.
    On the blue and orange one can you guess where I dropped the brush on it?

    Lowcab - you colored that pic for Joe. I ended up painting it for him ... she's not perfect, but she's pretty close. It was harder than I thought it would be to colorize the whole pic AND blow it up to 2 feet tall. Thanks for the compliment. :)

    Lowcab,

    No you did the original color rendering for me. Here are the other 2 versions of this picture...The original and your colorization.

    Thanks Again

    Edit - I guess Sam beat me to it!

    A far cry from Gigantors art. Mine was a quick-and-dirty.

    That is hands down the sickest coffee table I have ever seen. When I first saw it I thought it was a photo taken from a ladder or the roof over a real pool. Does Lance do other kinds of art as well? Does he ever sell any of his work?
