RLP, we had to do a similar project in a photography class I took in college. Those are pretty cool! Kinda like cubist photography.

    Vorhese,
too cool! I love the illustrations with the poems. If you ever put those in a book, let me know!

  5. Actually it's a pair of prosthetic arms made of carbon fibre. They were brought to me last night to be painted by their owner. He is(or was)a telephone lineman who inadvertantly grabbed hold of a live 7600 volt wire and lived to tell about it.Both of his arms were burnt off just below the elbows. This just happened last May and these are the first set of protheses he's had.

He figures if people are going to stare at him he should give them something to stare at so he decided to have flames painted on them to symbolize how he lost them. He's only 25 but he's got a great attitude and I think he's going to do just fine.

He told me he didn't want to spend a whole lot as money has been a bit tight of late and I told him as far as I was concerned they were already paid for.

One of my first attempts at striping, from a few months ago. It's alot harder than I thought it would be. I'm good at drawing and painting, but controling a line is tuff. Shaky hands.

I just got this Desk Top Art Work presentable late this afternoon. Since my first post is on page 1, I thought I would just throw it on now. I had this one started before I got bombarted with orders last week. This one is for a friend for Christmas (he's not a HAMBer) Appropately, this 57 Chevy is # 57. (When you build them and number them yourself, you can do that kind of shit....:p :D ) Gene

I'm a senior now and everything I do is "Directed Studies". That means I pretty much make whatever I want. Last year I did an entire Polaroid transfer portfolio of Route 66 memorabilia as I traveled it. That was a fun project... Here's a few images:

Thanks man, I gotta give my wife the credit when it comes to sewing up the dress, make-up etc etc.

I gotta say it's nice to see some diversity in this weeks art show. No offense, after looking at pin-striping for so long, it's hard for me to tell them apart. Dig the Cyanotypes and Holga stuff too.

    Here is a HAMBERS ride.

Thanks for the compliments. I've seen some of Edward Gorey's stuff but don't know much about it. I don't tend to keep up with other art/artists much and I feel I miss out on a lot. I think I'm in the process of cowriting a children's book about a dog and a hot rod. We'll see what happens.

I would like to thank Milo the truck dog for my inspiration.

    Gene,

4 more of your (mine now) cars arrived yesterday and they are awesome. I can't wait to see the others. I swear that you are getting better with each car. At this rate, I expect them to have running engines by next year. Great job. Also, everyone else excellent art this week as usual.

    Doc.

another gasser, Topolino was for a t-shirt as well. The original is 12" x 12" acrylics on cardboard. I might sell this one.

Some have seen her... some haven't... but I finally got done with the background, so I thought I'd show the finished product.

Yes, it's Monday now, but I couldn't wait 4 more days
