I'm doing this for cornernfool, its his linc. This pic is a few days old but my camera battery is charging right now so I should have another one here in a bit.
Those are really great, man. I love the Cars Car that should've been and the RPU has great motion in it. It should say "Stand On It!" somewhere. I'd like to see them both done in color. Inspires me to go grab a pencil and pad!
Thanks for the compliments, Doc. Maybe for some scratch you could get a full color original? Here's a few more for the week For our mates across the pond In memory of mom's illfated Ford For the heck of it
Last week a fellow HAMBer commented on the low angles I use. I said I gave a camera to a squirrel to get photo reference. Well, that's not entirely true. The fact is I try to draw from memory first then I reference pictures to pull details out and clean things up. The reason for the low angles goes right back to that '60 Ford and '62 Corvair my parents had when I was about 5. I'd walk around those cars, crawl in and out; over and under them for what seemed like hours at a time. Therefore, in honor of those memories, I kind of draw from a child's perspective. Auto enthusiasts, hobby wide, are all kids at heart and that's the emotion I'm pulling on. Can you relate? Two more this week then I ask you to check out the CARS... if the HAMB were involved thread for a post I put up in memory of another who was a kid at heart. (Kind of goes with it being Thanksgiving.) Happy Thanksgiving to all (belated!) '55 comes alive: And this wasn't exactly from a child's perspective and may seem OT but it is a variation on a drawing I did for a fellow HAMBer in K.C.
Thanks guys! koachwerks- i really want to leave it alone as well, but the wood is pretty wide and there's alot of free space ( not included in the photo) that needs something on the other side to balance it out, I'll try not to clutter it up to much with stuff, but i do like it plain and simple as well. Fur Biscuit- I can't wait to do another one now that i kinda figured it out a bit, this was one of the first ones i tried, I want to do more of this one in different color patterns to see how they might come out, stoked that all the cutting is done, now i can just spray them, but after awhile the little holes will clog up. I may get a few more prints from this stencil. More coming soon! Thanks again. CAB
The local newspaper came out to do an article on me and wanted to take pictures of me striping something so I did this panel. It's about to go up for a HAMB auction so stay tuned. Also here are some hand painted business cards done on s**** alum. sheet.
Wow there always is a lot of very talented people on this board ,it never ceases to amaze me . Excellent pin-striping , custom paint...... great idea sketches. I finally have something I wanted to share with you guys . This jacket was commissioned to me for a customer that wanted it to match his airplane...a P-51 He chose to paint it in one of the most renowned and storied allied fighter groups of WW2 the 352nd. Or as Hermann Goring referred to them ...The Blue Nosed *******s of Bodney. Thanks CheaterRome
