Projects Artillery Wheels

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by non-conformist, Aug 8, 2009.

  1. I recently purchased a set of 1936 Chevrolet "17 Artillery wheels (i dig the style!) for my '56 Ford "Big-Window" p/u project. I just completed the ch***is, which runs camaro running gear w/chevy drivetrain. ANyway I wanted "17 as I want to run wider outer rims on the artillery centers, which is doable, but the wheels I got have a 4.25x5 bolt pattern (which I've never heard of and necessitate wheel adapters) and the center caps have a 6&5/8" diameter snap ring!!! The caps are a little dinged up and have the Chevy "bow-tie" logo on the centers, so I'm trying to get them straightened & chromed. I need to know if any other car/truck used a similar hubcap as I will be using them on my ford?????
