not really for a plaque but I drew this up today

 

"Gamblers" mandates either dices or cards.

And I really dislike all the bones and spider webs. Bottle of booze is ok for me, but probably not for a car club pague, so I'd ditch that as well. The crossed wrenches and pistons are cool, but WAYYYY inflationary. Every second car club around is running badges or logos with some crossed tools or pistons. Dare to be different.

Just one prop - what about a crest-type badge? Never done me no harm. Everybody can do rectangular badges.

second hinter: keep it simple.

Could draw up somethin fer ya, but I've gotten too old and tired to do a drawing for anyone else but my gal. Won't touch a pencil anymore; besides, I know I alone am best.

Just survived a nasty indesgestion and my cell isnt working here so I have to go to a wifi coffee place... Anyway, maybe I'll work a little more on it but I won't promise anything.

Last update...





I took the contour lines off the pistons 'cause they didn't match much and actually made it a bit harder to read from a distance. Also made the separation from the title font a bit thicker for the same reason. Did a little more tweaking on the font to get rid of the last of the computer made distortion... as for saying it's better made by hand, I agree. That's why even if it is copied losely from an existing type-font, very little remains from it, mostly just the style. Not a single point/curve has gone untouched/modified (all by hand).
