Artist wanted, HAMBnHog Redevouz Artwork.?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Tman, Jun 7, 2004.

  1. Hey art types, I need some help for a flyer for the HAMBnHog Rendevous. For those that dont know, it is a little reliability run I am doing with rods/customs/bikes the first weekend of the official Sturgis Rally start on Monday. It is August 6,7,8 of this year.

What it is is a traditional (mostly) run throught the hills of Western South Dakota revelling in all things motored!

Please PM if you are interested. I am not asking for a handout, I can help the artist with a break on hotrod parts if from our shop?

  2. BTTT, anyone? Not asking for free work here? [IMG]

And I just caught that typo...It is the 13th Running of the 1st Annual HAMBnHog Rendevous.

Here is where I am at right now on your poster. Here is the color version. I still have to move things around a bit more to add the rest of your text but I will work on that later this week.

Hey, that looks great. I didn't actually work anything up yet, so the choice is obvious. [IMG] Nice work, KC. If I can make one simple suggestion, I would just use the hot rod and lose the motorcycle, only to keep it simple and give it more graphic punch. That's a great illustration -- feature it. OK, I'll shut my yapper now. Sorry I couldn't help out, but it looks like everyone will be happy with KC's work.

YA I will fix that tonight. I didn't even check for typos yet, its still in the PRIMER phase. I still want ot work some more of the information you gave me into it.

Is there a meeting place? or is it just the city in general. Specific time of the run?

Right now the size of the piece is 11 x 17. It can easially be switched to b/w for photocopy-ability. Once its final I will get you a disk with the art work on it incase you need to take it to a printer and a b/w proof that you can photocopy and hand out.

I am glad you like how it looks. If you have any specific feedback its alright to be brutally honest. I want it to fit your reliability run.

  11. Info is fine, this is a little run, those that are going to be here will know what to do!Looks good, thanks.

And Haring, I liked your ideas. I am working on a different type of event that might go hand in hand with those old posters!

Yah its backwards, its a placeholder pic. I am illustrating a bike in the same style as the car. I had to pull a computer done illustration out and flip it around for placement.

Like I said its in the PRIMER stage. I will get it shined up nice in the next couple of days.
