Found this nice picture of my 56 taken during a recent Cruise Night on a House Of Guitar's site with one of their vintage 65 Harmony Hollywood guitars.

Not posed at all but was just playing around in my buddies truck. Not sure if they’re artsy enough but thought I’d share em anyway.

[IMG]Lifted this photo from a friend's website. The 56 is his, however, he manufactures the guitars in various custom colors and specifications. I'm not a guitar person, but they appear to be very high quality. I like the photo.

    Hello,

All of you photographers out there in the hot rod world, the next time you go to a big event that lasts days…here is something that would be great for your collections. With all of the digital cameras having the multiple dials and features, there will be a time exposure feature that will give you cool nighttime shots.

My little pocket size camera has the quality features of a Leica camera, but is rebadged as a Panasonic. It has a high MP quality, a powerful zoom, and fits in my pocket for discreet photos at a moment’s notice. No more strapping 35mm full size camera(s) hanging off of my neck or shoulder. Nothing wrong with that scenario, but after shooting with multiple cameras in all sizes and lugging around 35mm cameras cross strapped on locations, it was time for a little relaxation in the new age.

But, even with shooting with a 2.25x 2.25 twin lens reflex camera for cover shots (hopefully) and a multitude of photos with two 35mm film cameras, it was time for a change. The 35mm cameras were excellent starting points for learning all about photography. One of the things I experimented with back then was night time shots on multiple exposure times. After a while, it became a common occurrence to take night shots using the time exposure feature.

Get up high in a multi-story building or hotel room that has a clear vision of the hot rod event cruising. Use a tripod or a bean bag will do the trick. The perfect place would be Reno’s Hot August Nights Event. It is one style of photograph that has yet to print publicly in the time exposure mode and colorful hot rods. The drones can take photos from high up, but the time exposure photo is difficult to set up and complete.

That parking structure would be the best...only 3-5 stories up, access to the street cruising, angle with the Reno sign in the background, and hot rods down below showing headlights or tail lights...what a set up. And, a great photo for the collection.

You will have to vary the time exposure shots for the best photograph.

A guitar with a 56 Chevy is always a good combination.

...while goofing off earlier this summer, spotted Mr Lombardi's A behind the shop after hours and stopped for a quick "hi" and a pic w/ the bucket.

Met this fella at Goodguys in Charlotte. Just walked up, sat on my tailgate, pulled out a smoke and started talking. Good times
