Man seems like I'm running out of photos to find I've been searching high and low and having hard time finding the goods.
Love the pictures. In post # 852 attached thumbnail #7 is a Curtis Wright Air Car. That thing was touring the country and came to my neighborhood in the Bronx... (Parkchester 1960 - '61 ?) They blocked off a wide street (it was gigantic) in front of the movie theater (Loews American) and had it running up and down the street and doing donuts. I was checking it out with my Father and talking to the company rep. who was singing it's praises as an all terrain vehicle that could go just about anywhere and do marvelous things. My Father pointed out to the guy that it didn't even have windshield wipers. To this day, I remember exactly what the guy said; he got very serious and pulled my Father close, looked around, in case there were any spies listening, and said in a hush hush tone... "Magnetic... Top Secret". I thought we were on to some cool new technology (I was 12) till my Dad said to me "That guy either dosen't know what he's talking about or is just a BS-er. Oh well, it was a cool demonstration anyway.
That is a great photo. Maybe that's my Cadillac! Ha ha ha.....I saw this while at work on my tiny phone.....I think that is my Cadillac ..Ha you're killing me over here..
