I have looked at several ASC Deuce rail projects and love 'em but I don't fit in a Deuce roadster very well. I have been looking for a stock 34 ch***is to no avail so I am considering building my own with the ASC stamped rails. The car will be another roadster so I want the stamped not welded rails. I have figured out the crossmembers but I would like to know who has used the ASC 34 rails and maybe a photo or two. Thanks,
    Lynn

Here is one I found on this site but I don't know who built it.

Interesting you bring this up because for all the talk about deuce rails, 34's never seem to get mentioned.

  3. I'm pretty sure that image is of frame from Vendettaautofab. I beleive he has p***ed, but the frames sure looked good.

I'm using them on my 34 PU project. I was very impressed with the quality. used a 32 front crossmember and 40 x member along with their boxing plates. I narrowed mine to 32 specs--I just wanted the extra wheelbase.

Thanks, that's the one I couldn't find. I think he p***ed away but I was wondering if anyone continued on with the super nice ch***is. He has the best one I have seen in a long time. Maybe Ionia might build one like this also.

  8. I used a pair bout 5 years ago, they were very good quality, looked great as a replacement for the originals that were rusted and pitted..

Here are some photos from Big Al,s information. I love the clean welds and design with the plus of no rust or pits to deal with on a hiboy. I guess powdercoating would cover the inside of the boxing plates with the dimpled holes. Any more photos?
    Thanks,
    Lynn

the ASC rails come drilled for car fenders--not truck. I can't remember right off if all the holes line up, but a fair number do and the stock fenders to mount up just fine. you'll have to fill in some extra holes from the coupe fenders, though.

Thanks for the link. I am very impressed with your work. The use of old Ford parts is what I like the best about the build. Your design work is excellent for my taste.

Santa was good to me and I now have the ASC rails in the garage. I now need to make/buy an x-member like the one shown above. The measurement I get is 5 3/4 inches high by 2 inches wide at the flange. I am off to the sheet metal shop to see how much they will charge to make the C-channels.
