When mounting a later flathead in an old ride use the truck water pumps for a cleaner look in my opinion. Or maybe this was a truck motor.
Enough Flatheads...Sam, whose Kuncklehead is that? Had thoughts of "twisting" my tips like that, but didn't think it would come off right--just got proved wrong!
Don't know... they guy duck walked it in about mid-day. It looked like he was wearing an old football helmet. Anyway, it was a bitchen bobber, a crowd formed around it almost emediately. Sam.
Sam, Guys name is Max and this is only one of three truely amazing choppers he has in his collection. I've known Max almost all my life, first he started building 49-54 Chevy trucks, then he found his real talent bulding bikes like these.....really a good guy!!!!!
I'm sure this will get lost in the mix here but...way to guys! Looks like it was a BIG success. If I hadn't been in Columbus I'd have been able to see it in person. I'm sure it will only get bigger and better. Congratulations!
Jay and the Vultures did a great job. Lots of great cars, people and fun. The bowling alley is the perfect back drop for the event. Thanks for the invitation, my son and I had a blast. Chuck
Does that very first r-p/u at the top of the post belong to a HAMBer? I've seen it in a lot of Nor Cal event photos lately. I'd like to talk to the guy about his top, I really like the profile. Anyone know who it is?
Damn... I wish I could've been there! It's times like these that I kick myself for relocating out of Oakland! Next year I gotta make it... I'm proud of them all for putting on an enjoyable show and adding to a great weekend for car fans in the Bay. The Strangers show should not be missed either! The Lone EC Vulture!

So Jay, you gonna give us a promoters perspective on the show? How did it go? On our end, it was a HUGE success. Sam.
Sam, I see that Jay had posted this. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=471402&page=3&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=7&fpart=1 Everyone that I know had a good time, unfortunatly my sons appendix decided that it wanted out Friday night and I had to add this to the list of missed events this year!!

As long as we don't loose a bunch of money,I'm happy. Nobody got killed, hurt, no fighting...I'm happy. We'll do it again next year, and try to keep it just as cool and small. Thanks for all the kind words Sam... It was nice seeing our friends at the show. jay PS- Anybody wanna buy a T-shirt? we got a few left!
Great coverage of the show. When I saw the gray 46 I did a double take and thought someone had shot a picture of my 46 in black and white. This was 5 years ago in Louisville, I wish I would have peeled the lid back in Austin at the roundup on Saturday morning and put it on the bed at the Austin Hotel while I was at the show.
