Bob, super cool truck. Those pics of your dad's car lot are cool too. I am in the car business and love vintage car lot photos. Hope to see your truck at Piston's and Paint show.

Bob, were was your dads dealership? I'm sure some of the old guys around Milwaukee would remember it.

Ok, this is really funny... I live about 5 miles from where this truck was until you bought it! Whats funny is i drove by where it used to be today and I looked for it! When I got home a buddy of mine called from buffalo and said "hey did you see the truck that was found in your hood"? I was like what the hell you talkikng about... then I was like......was he talking about the blue truck?? then I get on here and DAMN! I drove by that thing a million times! I never stopped because it was always in the garage and you could just see a tiny bit but ypou know... its one of those things... its always there you never think to stop...

Tony, if you are still following this thread, it was about 3 miles from where i found my 64' belair!

    Looks great congrats!

theres nothing less correct about the chev than an olds.put some early lookin covers on it and call it a 265.screw that expensive early olds, unless you find one that still has its go-fast shit.the "original"one wasnt original, and its not original now, having been pillaged.run that thing as-is,it rules.

It seems neither of you guys have seen Bob do his thing before. If in his heart he feels the Olds is the right thing for the soul of this survivor it will be so. He has a great love and respect for the history of these vehicles. I have great faith that he will do the right thing. I'm hoping for the Olds.

I took the truck to Pistons and Paint over the weekend and it was awesome! Bubba gave it his pick I was blown away at just how many people have follewed this story...

The trophy is amazing, the show was even better! Thanks guys!

It was around a 500 mile round trip and besides losing the cap on one of those old slicks the truck did great..... it runs and drives great!

I have nothing against the small block it works great..... the small block chevy to me is probably the greatest engine EVER.... and probably my favorite...... besides the early OLDS. Those who know me know I am a freak about those early olds motors...... I have alot of rare olds stuff.... my plan is to build an Olds powered Comp coupe, to pull behind the truck...

So anyway.... yeah for now I will dress the chevy up with a bunch of neat vintage parts..... it will fit in just fine. BUT eventually I would like to put an olds back in it and preferably THE olds that was in it. That would be the coolest.

Olds powered little truck pulling the olds powered coupe would sit well with the Hot Rod Gods....

Bob that truck is beyond cool, as GEM would say it is truley outrageous!
My friends say I have ADD, I think you may have the automobile version of ADD, I can see it now, it will be only a matter of time (months tops) that you & your luck find another survivor w/even more soul & coolness & you sell this truck to buy that one. You have been doing it since I've known you and I think it is great, I'm not yelling at you, I love it cuz you unearth some very neat shit.
This is the same post you lay down about every 6 months or so, just w/ a different car, grand plans & all for the find, but your ADD will take over & it will be sent down the road.
Keep up the good work, these machines find you at this point, please keep turning them up & out so the rest of us can enjoy your findings!
    Love,
    Cheatercarl
