COE Astro van subframe

I trying to gather pieces together for my long time 46 Ford COE project. I'm interested in using the Astro clip. I know a couple of you have used one. Any advice? Would you do it again? I remember the subframes being plenty wide when we'd pull them at the junkyard.

Right now it's sitting on a F-1 axle, with a 87 Chev 3/4 ton frame section spliced on the back. It needs to be a lot lower.
