  1. Heavy Meteor Showers in the area!

All praise Lord Gordy (peace be upon him) and his crew at Ultra Stamping in Rockford -- Nick, Gary, and Chuck -- as well as Wingnutz for unlocking the ancient secrets of the mysterious Saaty device.

    To Infinity... and beyond!

Those are just flat out cool! I saw a couple for sale on ebay awhile back, alot of cabbage for those things.

  3. Those things look like meat grinders. Bratwurst anyone?

OK I'll query - how do they work? Not how well, the video seems to clarify that. I mean, how does the mechanism operate? Is each unit a stand alone mechanical injector?

    retro excotica!
    neat Mike!

  5. They're not direct injection (i.e., don't squirt directly into the combustion chamber), they are "indirect" -- atomize fuel-air mixture which is fed through manifold. No float bowl, they keep constant CFM.

  6. If they keep a constant CFM, how is the fuel regulated? Wouldn't you end up lean or rich across the RPM range? I remember reading about Hilborn injection running constantly, without the injector shutting on and off, because the engine cycles so fast that it wasn't needed, but I'm not picturing how these work.

Do they constantly create the atomized mixture?

  7. It has vaccuum advance and idle screws like a carb, but there's also a lever for controlling mixture... it needs to run rich at cold starts, but after 160 F you can lean it out.

Also on the meat grinder side -- that's a flange that holds down a rubber diaphragm w/ a spring, which helps keep cfm regulated.

Gordy and the guys really figured out how to dial these in... it idles nicely at 800 rpm and the throttle response is fantastic. Anybody who gets one of these, I highly recommend them to set it up.

Precursor to the flying toilet? Sounds sweet on the video. Does insurance cover a tooth knocked out by a meteorite?

  9. Senor Zenor - Thanks, now I get it. They do sound real sweet and seem to have great throttle response. Now all I gotta do is run across a few at a garage sale for $15 each.*

*Please note I am not holding my breath.

I am glad I gave Gordy his man hug at the pileup, because he shure does deserve it now! Ha Ha Ha

Drew, I am going to bring up my clippers so we can steal his power! Do you think it would transfer to us in the form of a wig?

  19. Do you know which of Gordy's hairs contain the Sampson-power? That might be a funny looking wig.

I don't think it is those hairs because I am pretty certain he goes in for a bikini wax quite regularly.

  21. ??? I thought he used those as donors for the hair transplant.
