We have to stop and remember that it is late fall almost winter down there. Great looking cars at the event.
Yep, bit chilly down here. Sixth day of winter and where I am it was only around 11 degrees C all day (about 55F.
It never ceases to amaze me... you Aussies seem to have a better grip on traditional hot rods than most U.S. rodders do
I'd like to think, but the people who come to this are just straight down the line hot rodders. Many have been at it since the early/late sixties. Believe me, elsewhere we have our share of 20" wheel rubber band tyres and billet everything street rods at one end of the scale, the skulls, spiderwebs and barbed wire types at the other. As well as the flathead only 'traditional' people.
That's interesting, because google tells me the January average high in Spring Texas is 17. So I guess you must know if it freezes! *Google also tells me our winter averages are warmer than yours.
Too bad your Google didn't tell you about the 2021 winter in Texas, at my house it was -14.5 C. Yeah, we know when it freezes.
We were discussing the weather Sunday morning in the context of a mutual friend from here who currently lives in Texas. He has remarked about how cold it can get there and has seen snow (and has sent photos.)
