The 4th wheel wasn't hidden, just mighty damn close to the 3rd wheel. Hard to see but there's 2 wheels in the back with just a spacer between them.

"Wheel Barry" ran pretty good. Just not good enough.

  3. Wheel Barry - Oh no you didn't!!!!

  4. Yes...and your point is?
Ga Tech is downtown Atlanta, UGA is in Athens.

    Looks like fun for sure.
So, who has custody of the rocket?
I need to see that bad little mother.
You guys really built a sweet machine.

    Question...You can push start?
Looks like that's where one of them got ahead of you.

I can tell ya. We need a pushbar that is a bit taller, but push start gives the lighter cars a bit of an advantage I think. It's not as easy pushin that thing as it seems.

  6. College kids have way too much time to put into this, with 2 college teams running, us working guys won't stand a chance. ;)

Truth be known there was NO spanking, The Sock Fuckers NEVER ran either of our cars. We where in the fast class they where in the "special" class. I agree their car was beautiful and was the fastest LOOKING car there. it just wasn't . The ODD RODS didn't win , neither did the SOCKS ...but we all had fun and them Sock guys are OK by me.

  8. Now that makes sense.
Next semester I only have 12 semester hours instead of my usual 18.
I may actually have a chance to breathe, attend the swap, and have a life.

What the hell? They didnt allow any kind of push starts last year, who made that shit up?

And yes, that little box those Tech boys had last year was damn fast. Nothing could touch it last year.

Looks like you guys had a blast, A couple of us were talking about trying to start up our own chapter of the SFVISBF. It still might happen, we just need more people that are seriously interested in doing it. Any takers?

I agree, there shouldn't be any push starts. Hold your brake till she says GO! Some teams where staging way back so the pusher could get a few steps in. Now that isn't the fastest car winning ..it's the hardest pusher. Hell if they allow pushers , next year I'm making a ten foot pole that my pusher can use, that way he can run ten feet pushing before he gets to the line . See, rules are not to hard to get around.

When you say "special" class, do you mean like a little school bus that the windows don't let down all the way kinda class?

  13. I agree. If the 2 fastest cars run first, one is out for good. So no way to really know who is fastest. I would like to see a 'grudge match' deal for $5 or something. No pushing. You pick the opponent.

  14. Where is there a good hill in neutral territory??? That would be fun - Like Hillbilly Hemi said - a southeast SFVISBF only we'd have to come up with our own letters. You have to look up those SFVISBF folks on youtube - they are CRAZY!

  15. Hillbilly Hemi - I think it would work. Barry knows of a 3 mile skate board run out his way. That would work for down hill carts. Some one needs to come up with a good name though. ATLISBF ?

  16. A few pics I shot. Good turn out. The Sock Rocket held in there for a good number o' runs. A lotta good sports about the whole competition thing. Good bands, cold beer, and some friendly 'wheeled' competition...what's not ta like.

HAHAHA...short bus...no these guys where in a class of a few. There where only 3 cars there that where in their class , meaning high quality built. I don't know if they should get that beast out on a long hill. It takes a while to get it rolling but when it gets going its fast. On a 3 mile hill it could break 100. My car would burn the front tires off on a hill that long. Barry is crasy enought to ran that far though.

    A 3 mile long hill?..............FUCK!

We will have to mount the cup holders then.

  19. What race were you at?
As far as I'm concerned we went more rounds, we placed higher in the final standings, and we obviously had more fun...YOU LOST. :p
Y'all packed up and slinked off pretty quick and quietly:confused:
Not even a "we had fun see ya next year" I know you had to go home and lick your wounds, but jeeez, we used to at least shake hands in little league:rolleyes:;):D

We will have to wait for the times to be posted before claiming a spanking on the odd rods, but we definitely spanked the GA Tech guys. Overall there were some cobbled together rides built for fun but I will say that the odd rods built some quick and sturdy cars.

Hopefully next year we can reginster together so that we can paired up. Then one of us can get an official good ol american whoopin.

What race was I at? The same fucker you where at. You did not spank the ODD RODS. If we had run you and that beast we could have easly out run you. most of the Sock guys I met where cool and nice guys. I have no idea what someone like yourself is doing in that club. I lost? well big boy you didn't win either so you LOST too. As to slinking out , I had better things to do than set around farting and punching each other in the arm. So to all the Sock guys ...I'm sorry you have to deal with this guy :D

I agree with Barry. This is a MUST DO for anyone local who missed out this year. Thanks to the Odd Rods for offering up an extra easy-up for the girls. We were just too lazy to put ours up early.

  30. I really enjoyed hanging out and looking at the rides. So many ways to skin a cat. All of them looked fun. The stump with 4 wheels looked down right scary. We had a great time hanging with you guys and appreciate the familiar faces and the good looking starter girl.

Does anyone know how the guy they hauled off in the ambulance is?
