So right now unless my math is off(I'm not a math teacher...) I'm guessing at least 14 people at brunch based on comments here and who regularly shows up. So the trick must be to have a HAMB celeb. at every brunch...:D:D:D

    Brett,
What's this about an agenda after breakfast? I'm planning, if the guy listing it on Craig's List doesn't sell beforehand, to run up to Dawsonville after brkfst and take a looksee at a homemade scooter that may be just the ticket @ Dixie Fried for me.
If your agenda extends till later in the day, I could possibly rejoin yall.

I'll be there, and while I sympathize with those who have no heater, you can bet your boots mine's gonna be going full blast. That's one part of this traditional stuff I don't agree with anyway. I can remember helping install more than one heater in old cars and hot rods back in the 50s, including a neighborhood friend with a '37 flatback sedan back when I was about 13. Must have been about '49 or '50.
After breakfast I plan to drive up to Dawsonville to look at a homemade pit bike that's for sale. Combines an extended mini bike frame, parts of a bicycle, a small bicycle front tire and a golf cart rear wheel and tire, all powered by a 5hp B&S.
On the way back I'll try to meet up with yall again if the group is still together.

THis was one of the best breakfasts yet. We need to have a garage crawl more often. It was also great to meet Brandon and his lady and Jeff and his lady and daughter. Good times as usual.

Now that I'm home and kicked back with a Scotch and Soda, let me say it was a great day!
Only 2 little h***les all day, last one first. I misunderstood Josh and turned left out of his subdivision and drove a couple miles before I realized my mistake and turned around, no big deal. The other was when we stopped at a Wendy's because the Mexican joint we headed for was closed up and gone. WIH ever heard of ranch dressing for a taco salad? Went back to counter, no taco sauce or salsa! Dvanecek was highly amused, but I take food seriously and will most likely fire off an email to Wendy's at corporate level!
Breakfast at the Skillet was great, and Grn Mtn Boy's dad (who was down visiting in his kewl '32 roadster) brought along some real Vermont maple syrup, which I tried on a biscuit, fine stuff, that "murple surple"!
After breakfast I left the group and went on up to Dawsonville where I bought the makings of a neat pit bike, stretched mini bike frame with exrtended and raked forks and a decent 5 hp B&S, pix were taken later and will be posted, I'm told.
I rejoined the group at Dogpatch's home and got to see the famous "Sock Rocket" and to join in some test runs in his subdivision on some pretty steep and long hills. There also will be pix posted of all this. Then it was off to a shop, following Tudor, and I'm unsure of his connection to this shop, but they had some really nice cars under construction there, plus I met Joe, who I was already supposed to contact in my search for proper brake and clutch pedal pads. He is a H.A.M.B.er also but I forget his user name.
This is also where we unloaded the pit bike and did a few test runs with various riders aboard, pix soon.
From there we went to Tudor's home, checked out his cars and shop, followed "the hardwood path" to the john, petted the stray dog who was trying to adopt us, and finally, got to meet his wife and daughters when they arrived home.
Great day and a fine time for all concerned, if I may say so.
But I have an expectation of early to bed tonight, as this old man is tired, about 12 hrs, 20 mins. gone today!
Sorry for the novel, but it's the only way to adequately describe such a great and eventful day.

That was a good day! Started out cold and Kim's Falcon died 2 miles from home. That was a bit a a drag, but it was worth it listening to her ***** up a storm on th freezeway for 20 minutes. Didn't dress appropriately. Then I kept smelling exhaust, vanilla, exhaust vanilla .... what the heck is that? Turned out she brought a bottle of vanilla creamer in her purse and it leaked. Never a dull moment. Great meeting new folks and seeing our son Billy again - nice pics son. I look forward to showing them to your sister. Goods times all day - no one was hurt! Awesome!

DOM Dave, Sorry you got lost leaving, I hope I didn't tell you to go left on accident. If I did I am sorry. We were at J. Varbles real shop, he goes by "chopnchaneled" on the hamb here. That mini bike you bought was great.

Met a lot of new folks yesterday 1959cac (Jeff) and Hemi.

Maaan, Celestina and I had an absolute blast!! It was awesome to meet all of you and we thank you for your hospitality ( and Sunday beer) and for letting us hang out... You guys rule and have some killer stuff, that was fun.

Josh (Tudor) drives like I do... that coupe scoots pretty good.

We were laughing last night about the driveway: "Brakes, hit the brakes, BRAAAAAAKES.... hey... he made it!" hahaha! The Sock Rocket rules.

And thanks DOM for letting me top speed-test the mini bike. If nothing happened on my cruise, you should be more than okay putting around. :D

    -Brandon.
