Well I got the Sea Hag running and stopping good enough to go and do a bunch of burnouts and donuts out on the road in front of my house......I will be leaving Wed. morning to take it to the Autorama in Detroit.

I had some rings made to hold my bubble since it was going to be too hard to make any that looked worth a damn on my own, I got the main ring put into the body. Figuring out the hinge is a real sonofabitch though! Ha Ha Ha

I also made a little grille opening that I like the shape of.

You have no idea how hard it is to center a circle in a body where there is nothing straight to measure off of! Ha Ha Ha

Before someone makes a smart ass comment on how hight the front is sitting, keep in mind that that is a platic block and the real 800 pound monster will drop 'er down a good 2 or 3 inches.

  10. Oh, come to Illinois...you'll find all sorts of signs like that. "Dry Weather Only"...."Floods During Rainy Conditions"...."Buy Our Governor, He's For Sale"....oops, I think those last ones might have been taken down now. Elections are over. ;)

Car's shaping up nicely, BTW. I'd like to see a ring underneath the bubble that looks like a toilet seat. :D

I didn't know he was that old and that talented! I was referring to Michael Jackson's monkey. Here all this time I just thought he got hopped up on the "Jesus Juice" and dry humped the elephant man in his spare time. I could see him on a tricycle though.

Looking good... Really like the shape of the grille opening too... Wonder if it will be large enough to get good air into that radiator?

One of the things I liked about Anothony's bubble top is that he used an earlier broken attempt at a bubble as a windscreen to use when he actually drove the car... Kind of a cool idea.

Yeah Ryan, I am makin 2 tops one is going to be a roadster windshield and the other will be the "Show bubble"

I know you hate electric fans, but I am going to run one on this car just to make sure I can get enough air through it. I hate the idea of putting on a mechanical fan then having to redo everything later to put an electric one on it because the first one was not enough.

The radiator is an Afco for a T- bucket. They assured me that it will be big enough for the Hemi. It will be heavily modified before it is all said and done. the brackets on the side have already been raised 6 inches. to get it down below the cowl. I will also have to put the fill up on the motor so the filler neck will probably be removed as well.

As for the shape of the grille opening, it is pretty much the same as all of the 60's show cars I have seen. It is kind of like a 32 shell on everything, it just works. (Yes, I have actually been looking at a few old mags! Ha, Ha, Ha)

why is the front so high? you should do something, like make it lower, then it will be cool. but not until then...

  23. Don't those plastic blocks have big problems with overheating?

You should get a cast iron block. That would solve your front end height problem too.;)

Looks good Aaron. Does this mean you've scraped the idea of air in the car?
