As Prez of the Pack Rats I would like to 'Thank You' for the photo of my brother-n-laws (pakrat32) 'Little Bastard' and for mentioning our club the way you did in the new issue of Magneto. It may be nothing to many of you on this board but for a very small group of guys to be mentioned along with many of the clubs we look up to and have a great deal of 'respect' for... weighs big with us. I was unable to attend the South Butler Drags and meet you all in person. But Tony has mentioned to me several times that we should hook up with you guys & I really look forward to doing this. There's a lot going on here on the East Coast. I believe Tony's objective is to bring that to everyones attention through Mag-neto. The South Butler Drag race is what I beleive to be the icing on the cake. If we all put our heads together and network we can do events like this every year. Torr is currently looking for another strip to hold races on. If anyone has any info leading to a track that might be available they should get in touch with Torr. Pete Flaven
Theres a little track down in Maryland called Cecil County Drag-O-Way. Its been around since the fifties and has only changed because of the NHRA. (Good changes like safety upgrades ETC...) I've been going there as long as I can remember. Before they had the big score board that showed your time, you could still lie about what you ran. The BS didn't stop at that track.. Anyway..I'm sure they would host an event if given enough time to secure a date. Want me to check on it? Spike
