Attention Big block Dodge experts I was wondering will a 383 or a 400 big block 4 barrow intake fit on a 361 big block.

The 383,400,361 are all the "B" family of engines, the 440,413,and 426 are the "RB" family, the intakes are the same in each family. You can easily use the 383 intake on a 361,you should try and use the throttle cable holder that is on the intake you are using,Dodges were funny that way as the distance between the clamp and the carb hookup is different on of the carbs, might not be a problem for you if the car is modified a lot? 37 Caddy is right on. I swappped a 383/ 4bbl intake on to my 361 in the 64 Fury. The only problem was the throttle cable/ kickdown linkage bracket. Those are different because the 4 bbl carb is so much wider than the 2 bbl.

I forgot about the kick down linkage,my car was a 4 speed, didnt need it,if you are using a automatic you have to have kickdown hooked up or it will ruin the tranny fast,if you get one get the 3 peice set, they are super easy to adjust, there is a hole in the side of the hinge brackets that you use a drill bit to lock in place until it is set,the adjustments should be available on the internet some place, the 1 peice rod is more flimsy in my opinion.good luck Harveyb
