Ya got me there Grim. It's a little more complicated than brass plated with the plasma arc and all that. And I wouldn't call the brass frame art. I probably shoulda made 10 copies tho. 1 for Meyer, 1 for Leno, etc.:D

My brother worked as a shift supervisor in a plastics injection plant for years. He ran a crew and set up about 10 machines and kept them running as well as training the operators. If you golf, he probably made your shoe spikes. They also made the candy machines your kids want quarters to feed at the stores and your underground sprinkler system. Never did get up to 8 bucks an hour. The operators on the machines made $5.50 to $6 bucks an hour.

When you get materials time to create the oblects itself and the cost of molds etc he is lucky to break even on the project by selling 3 or 4 of em. Especially at that size. The price is right on. With a group of people I hope they go big and sell a shit load, but I guess I an an art whore. I think its pretty kick ass but I guess that I am just into the whole reporposing of objects. The same time and considerations go into creating a cowboy on a horse. But I guess its just what you like. I love fine bronzing but I would buy this anyday over a "coffee table cowboy".

Heaven help the people that put a resroted gas pump in their house. :D

I think that sculpture is cool as shit. I showed my wife and even she liked it. She's always been pretty understanding with my toys. I've had a gas pump in the house for years and now she's letting me get one of these.

My dad bought one from this fella and it's a pretty slick looking piece. For the peeps that don't know what these are, they were used on the farm years ago for a variety of tasks, one that my dad has makes his homemade ice cream. If you ever go to an antique tractor show you'll see some there too. I've showed the pic to some of my friends who have never lived in the country and they give me a blank stare back. Oh well, I've always been a little outside the norm.:D

You get it and I'll let you keep it at my house and I'll let you put it in any room you want. You can come and visit it whenever you want. I'll buy the beer. I don't mind if you snore like a pissed off chainsaw.

    Please? :)

I love that thing....and I'm an art whore!!!! It IS art in every sense of the word. My only question is the site states that it is a "one of a kind wall sculpture", how is that possible if there are 10 of them? New math? Divide by 2, carry the 4............!?!?!?!?!
