Spoke with Norm today and it will depend on what happens at Gairdner this year if he makes a trip to the US again. I understand he has responded to your emails.
Hmmm... Norm and I seem to be playing e-tag. Anyone from overseas coming to run at the HAMB Drags? How 'bout the Soap Box Derby?
If you're keeping score, we have: 7 land speed racers (and a few more 'maybes') 1 drag racer (1 more 'maybe') 2 top end runners (Silver State Classic, etc) 0 hill climbers 0 dirt trackers 0 drifters 0 road racers 0 anything elses The stories we have so far are dynamic and fun. Too much for a magazine story, but not enough for a book. I'll try starting similar threads on other boards, but I seem to get the best stories via the HAMB. If Ryan doesn't mind, I'll give this one a few more bttts before abandoning all hope. Thanks to all who have responded so far - great stuff, guys! Scotty
Okay, it's been about six weeks. Since then, I've connected with a very cool Kiwi Altered racer, an Aussie husband and wife drift team and some more 'maybes' - very cool, but I'll need more to fill a book. Any Cubans planning to strap your '51 Lincoln to a dozen barrels and float it over here to run the One Lap of America? Who's coming from Greenland to ride their unicycle over Niagara Falls?
