beautiful stuff bonedaddy, i will definetly keep you in mind.

I think i found a place if its still available. For all you tennesseeans do you remeber the old bell meade theatre. It was a book store for the longest time and that shut down about a year ago. If its still available it would be perfect, two levels, grand staircase in front, marquee out front, plenty of parking and its just really cool.

I can certainly send some art your way!!!

If you're trying to sell the art, then put it in a mall, if not, town square maybe.

Coffee shop sounds kool, so does music...

    God Bless...

    Take care...

I'd be willing to submit some airbrush work once you're ready to go. I haven'y done a ton of hot rod art but I'll paint whatever anyone wants. This is my latest piece, The Reaper helmet

  5. I like the idea.
    location
Mall, mall chix, mom's shopping, kids, as a rodder when did you last (voluntarily) go to a mall
town centre not bad but pricey when it comes to shop footage, better than a mall and probably good for tourists
some kind of square, cheaper than a town centre with the same advantages,
attatched coffee shop, great idea you can take money off people who wont buy art.
live music etc, good idea (see above) and can be used to promote the art etc with specifc events.
if this goes ahead I am willing to contribute art too.

Check with local govt people on grants for fixing up and restoring "historic" locations... you'd be amazed what qualifies as historic. I was looking into that for awhile, had my eye on an old stone building downtown that Lawrence Welk had played in ages ago... one of the first elevators ever put into a building, dance hall upstairs, just a little too much cash wanted by the seller.

I think I would rather go into a hot-rod shop that happened to be full of cool art, than an art gallery that happened to be full of hot-rod stuff. Gotta look like a place I would park in front of first before I would want to see what was inside.
    'zat make sense?

    Nostalgic Gas Station

Old Car Dealership (with some old faded signage still visible)

Some building that looks as old as the cars we all drive

Something in a old historical building would be cool.

Small update. The gallery plans are starting to come together, after the holidays things should progress alot faster. I will be in touch with all the artists who have expressed interest about the gallery and another special project. Just wanted everyone know that it is still in the works and has not slid by the wayside.

I think you have a great idea and would really love to see something like that in downtown Nashville. You can certainly count me in to provide art and any other help you might need. I love Nashville.
