Check with MSC at mscdirect.com. If Mcmaster doesn't have it, MSC does.

McMaster and J&L Ind (MSC) do not carry them. Kurt have the wrong hole offset. They won't fit.

Just going to make some. I'll make some soft jaws while I'm at it and maybe some different shapes as well.

No big deal guys. At this point it would just be cool to know what I have.

Interesting. Thanks! Any chance the one you have still has a tag on the top?

I had a vise like this where I worked in a door factory. Can'y remember the brand, but it is a darn good milling vise. It appears that the inserts are missing. Might I suggest making some soft jaws from brass? Try milling horizontal and vertical slots in them for holding round stock.
    Good luck Steve

Well... I think I found out what the vise is. It's deffinitely not what I expected, but it turns out it's an old Phase II machining vise. Only 70's or 80's vintage. Being told that it IS indeed a good quality vise, despite it being an import. (don't think it's Chinese made) I'm surprised by the finding. Just took finding someone else that had one. The screws are 10x1.5 that mount it and are on 100mm centers. Again... surprised! It looks MUCH MUCH older!

On a machinist forum that was recommended by another HAMBer, I had someone say it could be an old Bison Vise. Maybe there was some copy-catting going on. The Bison vise would have been made in Poland and would have ALSO been metric. So maybe it trully is Bison but was later produced by Phase II.

Anyway, Phase II had jaws that fit for cheaper than what I could make them for, so I ordered some. I'll restore the vise, make some soft jaws, and put it all to good use. It should make hot rod parts just fine for me! I'll post pictures when it's done.

    Thanks for your input everyone!
