    I’m installing an Auburn 32 dash in a 32 5W.
This dash is near 3” wider than a std 5W, plus the ends has another design.
Its nothing wrong with a std 32 dash in 5W, so its not an easy decision.
But I has a full set of Wings and a Hollywood panel.
I has been into has the gauges on row in the std dash and it’s racy, but I do like the deep and the angle in the Auburn dash, and gauges will not look nice in a row by using that dash, vs its height.
I like the Hollywood panel even if it’s little too much ‘boat’ look, but as my car is more late 40’s race I preferred the Wings gauges.
Inspiration in this installation was on YT and on that installation they cut the dash in mid and that was a 32 3W, and they used the Auburn 32 panel. Se picture.
I can’t say owner told the correct way how it was done, but he said the upper part still was 32 3W.
Don’t know why they did it that way cut it in mid and used the std upper part.
I do think the Auburn upper part will fit in a 5W but I’m not shore ( holes are equal )
I guess a 3W is at least 1 or even maybe 2 inch wider than a 5W, so maybe cut it in mid on a 3W make sense but that mean the panel would not fit.
But my idea is to use the Hollywood panel in the Auburn dash and it will be Ok on height.
I has both a std 5W dash and the Auburn dash is like new after accid dip.

-So question is to where cut it.
One asked said you don’t like to cut in in mid, better modify the ends.
So has anyone did this or heard about or read or saw it on internet.
All ideas I'm pleased to hear about.
