Auction with a few late '30s Chevrolets, Model A, '55 Chevy, 1958 Retractable, and more. Be sure to go through all the pictures because there appears to be lots more than what is listed on the main auction page. I won't be able to go... most will probably be out of my league anyway(auctions have been that way recently for some reason). If any of you make it, please post some sale prices.

I'd love to get my hands on a 36/37 coupe.

I looked at all the pictures and just shook my head thinking how ugly the bottom of these cars must be as it appears those are dirt floor sheds.

We store numerous projects on dirt floors, they do not hold condensation like cement does, and the dirt absorbs the moisture, pending your building if not lower than outside! Have preserved numerous cars for over 30 years this way.

38 cpe 5-18-12 056.jpg ...bought this coupe out of a dirt floor machine shed where it sat for over 40 years, only one rust hole in floor the size of a silver dollar.

The Skyliners were hard to see & I didn't look them over real closely because they were the only 2 cars that were still in the shed. I saw the black retractable was complete with a ***le but had some old (maybe in the 70's) amateur repair work done to it. The white one was listed as parts & I noticed the engine was partially dis***embled.

I'm speaking from some bad experiences. Although, how often the building is opened up and subsequently air movement has a lot to do with it also. I've had vehicles get scaly and ugly underneath being in dirt floor sheds that were only opened up maybe once a month. I've also had vehicles get barely a spot on them being on a very damp concrete floor where the doors were opened 3 or 4 times a week. Honestly, if it weren't for thieves, I would leave every project out in the open and simply make sure to keep the gr*** short so air could move underneath them and cover any broken windows.

Next to the '37, this was my favorite car at the auction. The chrome reverse wheels look so good on a Galaxie.
