Yesterday was a sad day for the hot rod and custom hobby as another innovator and
great in the business passed on to be reunited with his beloved. Dean Jeffries was truly
an inspiration to me at a young age. I never had the opportunity to meet the man tho
had always hoped to if for no other reason than to shake his hand and thank him for
his beautiful creations. Dean worked tirelessly in helping bring to fruition many of George Barris' most famous TV and movie cars but he also created some of the most dynamic customs of the day. He was generous with his talent and dozens of cars around SoCal woe hi signature as he either custom painted or pin stripped them into unique works of art. Many as a favor or just on a whim. Several people have testified as to his kind nature and generous heart. I wish I'd gotten to know him. Godspeed Dean , God bless and rest in peace...
