This is a 7-day auction benefitting the HAMB.

We are extremely excited about the recent launch of our newest product, the TRJ Special diecast 1932 Ford Coupe. These 1:18 scale models are currently in production and will be ready to ship just in time for the holidays.**Only 2000 will be sold, and each will have a numbered serial plate on the bottom of the gas tank. This auction is for model #0032.

The overall design began with a rendering by renowned automotive artist, Thom Taylor, as shown here. We have always been fans of Thom's work and were excited to have him on board to help with this process.

Designed as an early '50s era hot rod, we built it to emulate driving on the streets and racing at the lakes/Bonneville. The highboy features red oxide primer on the body, frame and the steel wheels. The graphics hint at our TRJ shield logo and represent our 15th Anniversary.

Working with GMP we were able to pick and choose all aspects of the model out of their vast parts bin including a filled grille shell and chromed windshield frame. In true racing fashion we took off the headlights and headlight bar, windshield wiper, interior and side rearview mirrors, plates, and the door and deck lid handles.

The flathead engine showcases an Edelbrock 2x2-intake manifold topped with two Stromberg 97 carbs, Edelbrock finned aluminum heads, and Belond style headers. Note the intricate detail of the Edelbrock script logo on the heads.

The interior has both street and competition features including WWII-style aluminum bomber seats and black tuck 'n' roll upholstered door panels. A four-spoke steering wheel, traditional gauges, shifter, and chrome pedal assembly make up the rest of the interior. What we really like is that the GMP 3-window suicide doors open all the way for a full interior view.

The mildly chopped highboy gets its hot rod stance from an aggressive big and little bias-ply tire combination along with the drilled and dropped axle and hairpin radius rods. Also visible from this angle are the Buick finned aluminum drum brakes and subtly V'd spreader bar.

These models are now selling for $139.95. The winner of this auction will receive model # 0032.
