I've been to several of Evettes (?) auctions, i know she has the highfalutin reputation and seems to get all the big collections, but i don't get it, she is no different than your local small time auctioneer. none of them know really what they are selling. She, specializing in old cars doesn't know anymore than the small guys. She may have them beat by folks watching her site for car and antique tractor auctions, but other than that she is no different. I will have an auction next year, its time to move on. I will hire a small local guy, but...I will do the advertising
Wow a 6 mo. lead time. I imagine there will be people making offers to the owners on those 33 Coupe bodies long before bidding opens. Yvette probably signs these deals because in some cases, there's months of open bidding before the live auction even starts. Currently, the Pellows auction is 107 days out and the bidding is already open. It's like a 4 month long ebay listing.
