1/32 scale with cars and trucks, snap togather track and the vehicles were battery powered. The bodies also snapped on the ch***is so you change the body to another if so desired and there were boats you could use in the pool or the bath tub.

I dug this out the other day with intentions of setting it up if I can find the room.

  4. Found my old bubble top custom I built as a kid. Hood scoop is now missing. Crude looking now but it's from the 60's.

They were very well detailed for back in the day if I remember. I had a maroon 2-seater thunderbird but no track.

One thing nice about them is they could be played with on or off the track.

I had this set when I was a kid. Got it for Christmas from my folks. I had a ton of Matchbox cars so it worked great at the time. I remember it being very noisy because of the springs inside the groove.
I soon moved onto HO slot cars, still have some track and a few cars.

Out in the store room, I have the Motorific track & some of the cars that my Mom & her siblings had as children. My Grandmother gave it to me a few years back because she knew I was the one who'd appreciate it most, I do believe. Its one of my prized possesions now that I think about it.

I also have most of my slot cars (HO) from my childhood as well as a couple from my Dads.

    I don't throw nuthin' away.......

still have most of my ho stuff. i had all kinds of slot car tracks/cars. but i guess the most fun one i had was a track .............gilbert i think was it . had 40 ford jalopys, the pin/brushes was a thing that the front wheels were on. when you hung the rear out in a turn, the front wheels appeared to be turning into the spin. cool.but it didn't take much to amaze me.lol

Another one of my vices. I have American Flyer, Revell, Strombecker, Cox, Gar Vik, Monogram, Eldon. . .well, you get the idea. I like the bigger scale, but also have some old HO stuff, too. It's all fun!

Here is a picture of my original Aurora Tub Track from a few years ago:

The track is all original Aurora Lock & Joiner track. The side has several holes for the many different style of controller hook-ups over the years. I built the shelf and used the original holes for the "drop box" to hold the shelf and controller hook-up.

Here is a video I shot using a Hot Wheels video racer. Turn down your sound!! The video racer has plastic wheels and they are LOUD!

I am the owner/moderator of a group just for Aurora Tub Tracks:

I also have a "door" track to play with in the house:

I got it off ebay with a BIN of $40. I had to replace the side boards and of course I painted them Petty Blue.

For those of you that dug out your Eldon slot cars, 1/32 or HO, I also am the owner/moderator of a group for them:

I got my first Aurora set in '63 and I haven't quit yet!
