Ausie Hambers

Are there any Ausie Hambers in the Alice Springs area? Might be relocating there in the next few months with the family. How hard is it going to be to bering the old car with? What's the good and bad about the area? Thanks

 

Do you realize where the Alice is ? If you have a good job lined up OK then but otherwise , not me. If your moving all your belongings in a 40 foot container just put your old car in there as well.

 

yeah i know where it is. gov job will move household goods and one car. i would be on my own for the 52

 

You can't "just" put the car in the container. You need paperwork for both ends. Check with your shipper/customs agent, even if you do decide you want to bring it separate.

Alice Springs is....out there. But they do have some kind of drag racing activity. Hope you like flies and beer, not necessarliy together!

 

Tha Alice is 'the outback' of Australia, and you won't realise just how big this country is until you get out on some of those back roads. The whole country is a great palce, you'll love it as long as you're not craving the big city lifestyle. She's a big country town for sure.

It's stinking hot in summer, but can get freezing cold at night even in summer time. You'll see some of the oldest real estate on the entire planet out there, if you enjoy photography you'll have a ball.
