  2. The yellow Holden sure looks identical to the Holden at B'vill this year. I saw it too.

  6. Well guys I'm going to hit the fart sack again, will post a few more of the salt tomorrow leading up to the trip home hope I make it ok ????

    Cully - I am sure all the HAMB members , appreciate your thread, many of us likely will never get the chance to be there, let alone the adventure getting to the salt.i think it is really neat that you and your misses, would take on the challenge of driving a 32 ford that far, this is crazy ass stuff. Looking forward to the rest of the real life story, by the thanks for the info about the 68 Holden , looks like there were at least 2 yellow ones there ? Still wondering about your gear box issues ? I will wait for that , In your later postings ,thanks for sharing tintop

    Wow! Great thread. You'll remember this trip your whole life. Even better the wife came with. Can't wait to hear how the trip home went. All the picts came thru except the taxi. Thanks a ton for sharing!!!:)

Allen Shephard E Type Jaguar we met Allen and his crew on the first day of our road trip we were stopped at Southern Cross in Western Australia getting fuel when Allen pulled up with the Jag on car trailer, he walked over to me and I said speed week he just smiled and said yes. No times for Allen as they only did the short course due to mechanical problems.

  19. Sorry can't find any details on this one all I know they had engine problems metal in the filter, the guys were packing up and about to put the car in the tralier just as this pic was taken.

This is Mark Clifford with his Suzuki, Mark did a personal best of 195.429 myself and the misses became really good friends with Mark, he was the first person I met when we got to the salt ended up have drinks togeather at the canteen every day we were there and on our last night around at marks camp site. Could not ask to meet a nicer guy.

  29. Ok guys I'm going to wrap up speed week now tomorrow I will start on the long trip home with that very sad gearbox.
    Myself and the misses had an amazing time at speed week met some great people and made some new friends.
