Aussie hot rodders

My ship is heading out the beginning of next month. One of our Port of Calls is Sydney in the beginning of January. I would like to try to meet up with some of you hot rodders from down under. Anyone in the Sydney area? Any cool places I should check out besides the Kings Cross area? Did that last time I was there in the early 90's I don't think my liver has recovered yet.

Don't have a HAMB friendly car but may be able to show you around a bit.

 

We are scheduled to be there around the 3rd through the 7th of Jan.

I'm available from the 5th January on, so if you want to contact me prior we can either do some sightseeing and as Sunday is the 1st Sunday of the month and in Sydney we have a coffee morning with a diverse selection of vehicles in attendance.

I lived in Sydney years ago and get there once a year, the cross is sleaze city.
The best thing Sydney has is its harbour and beaches, and so many of them.
The harbour at night is great, you don't need to pay for a tourist type cruise just jump on one of the commuter ferries. The rocks area has lots of places to eat and drink.

 

Looking forward to pulling in. We will be at the nave base. Not sure what day I have to work yet. Have to plan around it. If I am off Sunday I would definately be interested in checking out the Coffee morning.

As ex Navy that's been there, you are going to get SO f*ing drunk and the girls are friendly. Be safe and enjoy the sights. The only thing I have to remind me of Australia are books matches and mugs from the different bars. Some, I have no recollection of getting.

Hey all you Sydney area HAMBers I will be in Sydney end of this month 27th to the 31st. Looking for something to do. My last time to make it down on Uncle Sams Dime.

Did a 10 day R&R in Sydney in 1969. Yes, I'm old but the memories are fresh. Behave yourself, stay out of the Cross, and enjoy yourself. Never met an Aussie I didn't like. They are like us only different.
