Austin CoOp-DIY Garage

Hey friends,

If you need space to work on your project in Austin (North) we have been in our DIY garage for about a year and a half and are looking to bring in a few more projects. We are in an old-car friendly area, with easy state inspection nearby, and specialty shops nearby.

We have a large shop with lifts, welders, hoists, engine stands, presses, specialty tools, office, bathrooms/shower and rent to pay. We are looking for additional people to add to our CoOp.

We are not trying to make money, nor are we trying to lose money. We've put a lot of time and money into the shop, tools and supplies.

Here's some example month-to-month pricing:
- One parking space up front: $30/mo with occasional scheduled access to the shop and resources.
- Full-day 2-post and/or 4-post lift access, shop and resources is $100
- One vehicle space inside, access to shop and resources is $500 / mo.
- Dedicated fenced parking area behind shop (for 4 or more cars) is $100 / mo with occasional scheduled access to the shop and resources
- and if you have another idea let me know and maybe we can work something out.

We know these shop rates are not cheap or free. Sorry.

Any rules?
We respect personal property and expect the same.
Due to the amount of costly tools and vehicles, this is not a party barn but friendly help is appreciated. We do have scheduled auto-oriented open houses occasionally and love to see old cars visiting.
We are not here to babysit or train you for free. We will lend a hand when we can, and a shoulder to cry on if you need that too.
Our toys aren't cheap. You break it or use it up, you buy it.
We use potentially hazardous equipment. You are covered by your own health and liability insurance. We have first aid kits and fire extinguishers.
No personal parties are allowed. If you want a party, help us host a shop day or night.
No camping on the lifts.
If you are too much of a h***le, you will be asked to leave. No refunds.
