I'm helping out at Austin Speed Shop this week and were working on a truck that were trying to figure out some gearing and we don't want to invest in a new 3rd member till we know its right...

    What were looking for:

    9 inch 3rd member 31 spline with 456 gears

Is there anyone in the Austin area that can lend us one for a few days so we can test this out?

Will even hook you up with some Austin Speed Shop swag..

PM me or Call the shop 512-693-7277

    Thanks in Advance...

I have a chunk with 5.00 gears, if that helps.

Or if you have the tire size, transmission gearing and desired speed and rpm., I can help with the math. That's what Marky Idol and I were doing with my Iphone the other night.

We did the math with the tire size already and all that goodness.. but that might be too big...will let you know if we have no other options we might try it,,,

    Thanks tho...

Yeah, 5.00's are really short. They are my race gears, so they're in the storage case in my garage. Not like I'll have to drop them out of the coupe or anything. Just let me know if it ends up that they'll help.

Check with Lux, but I think I would know if he had any 9" chunks to try.:)

I am fresh out of anything with that axle spline. and the closest we have in ratio is a 3.50 set-single legged....of questionable quality.

I will start the signal fires.

and someone get in touch with Wesley.

If worse comes to worse, my '38 has a set of 4.56s in it... We could take them out for a bit.

I've got a chunk ready to go with 3.50s in it. You are welcome to set up any ring and pinion you like.
