  7. I thought that was a Plymouth ute too, but then I realised it's a Holden (indigenous to Australia... made by GM).

I dont think it is registered yet. It had a "Ford" number plate, but nothing legit.

  15. To answer your actual question, yes they did make Plymouth Ute's, and also dodge and desoto. In most years they were the same body with different jewelery.

They come up for sale pretty regularly and don't fetch much......the grills in the desoto's don't last long :D

Im usually not that much for Caddy kustoms (prefer them stock), but that first light-blue one has the right Hollywood-Big Sleepish vibe to it. Thats the way a fifties Cadillac kustom have to be. Very cool.

  18. Those Dudes from down under, really know how to build some killer rods. Amazing how many American cars made the trek a million miles from Detriot.

  25. Great Show! Didn't get many pics, but I did get something I am still blown away by!

Who Daky (aka Geoff) gave my daughter Isabella a plate he had pinstriped.
Thank you Geoff, from both Caroline and I. It will be put up as soon as she is moved into her room from the nursery. I am still stuck for words!!!

    Later
    Brett...

  26. Thanks for the pics guys...that's the most cars I saw all weekend!!

As for the pale blue Cad, that's Tony Ryan's. I remember seeing it about 1993 down at Geelong at a car show when I first started uni. Was in matt black (probably how Old Beet saw it aty Bright). Stupidly I took pics of every other car that day except the Cad!

It runs on a late model (somewhere from 72-76) Cad rear-drive chassis with a 454 up front....well, from my vague memory it does. The other rumour is that it was built for ZZ-Top but rejected....so another cad was built after that (it's gone on to SOME acclaim, I hear!). I've taken quite a few pics of it over the years, including beside my mate's 50 Convertible which dwarfed Tony's.

Best kick I got of this past weekend was zapping around the car park early on Sunday morning on Gruntis' Harley bobber! I'm still grinnin' from ear to ear and feel very privileged. It made my weekend. Thanks Grant!

Was also cool to see Whodaky doing some "instructing" and "inspiring" (as per usual) with his pinstriping throughout the weekend. That was pretty cool too.

Big thanks to Chopper and Steve and the crew for the great weekend. Proud to be part of the "family"!
