a wee bit of water: The driver is Philip Flower, whom had no use of his legs. CAN May talks about competing against him. The car was set up solely with hand controls.

Mr Rolls

 

Kurtis, a few years ago there was a display in a building on the west end of the grandstand at the state fair grounds in St. Paul Minnesota. It was called "The early years". That picture was included as well as many others up till '25 I believe. Awesome display!

This photo of Sig Haugdahl (right) was taken at Albert Lea, Minnesota just a few days after he won this trophy by winning the 10-mile feature race on the Hitch**** Park half-mile racetrack at Mitchell, South Dakota on June 17, 1914. The State Fairgrounds was one of the most picturesque. I have three original photos of motorcycle races from the teens but when i bought them the seller didn't know where they were taken so i undertook a search that took up alot of my time until a came across this postcard. I was then able to match the the left side outer wall on the grandstand to that in my photos. I haven't found the photos in any collections so i'm ***uming they were taken by a local with a camera.
