Excellent thread! Lots of cool info in these drawings. I have R14 and could read everything except the 32 Ford Frame. Anyone else having trouble with that one, or is it just me?
60's Style, Glad to see that someone else is as much of a geek as I am about using CAD to help them with their hobby. One of these days I'll get around to CADing parts for my 51 chev pickup. Am I correct in ***uming that the chevy motor in the HotRodFrameR14.dwg file are 2D exports from a 3D model? Thanks for the cool files. Laters, Chris
most of those drawings are from Vance, Taildraggin and Johnnyfast maybe one of them could tell us? if the authors (artists) would step up I would gladly attatch names to the work I just posted another, an Ansen swing pedal setup, dimensioned from an original this morning
As far as I know, there is a free unzipper integrated into Windows XP. Hey, this is totally excellent! I'm looking forward to more of these. Unfortunately the free viewer from AutoCAD only does DWF files. .
Paul Tried opening with both AutoCad LT 2002 and AutoCad 2005 with no problems using WinZip. Like the thumbnail views idea. As for sources of drawings, Model A Frame was mine, done prior to developing the next version. Hot Rod Frame is also mine, plans used to build my frame. Car Trailer Drawings (side & rear) also mine, done for a friends race car. Sent you the Cub and Kampmaster Tear Drop drawings sourced from various Teardrop sites. (public domain drawings) Canuck

They all looked great! The only one I could not get to work is the ansen swing pedal ***embly. I just unzipped and opened the rest in autodesk architectural desktop. I am thinking about using some of these drawings in my cl***. -Nick
With all due respect, that's why I offered to send out CDs. I'm still happy to do that for those who are having trouble. For you who are still having trouble with these files PM me your file format and a street address and I'll send you the CD with ALL the files and supporting do***ents. I have some file that were originally sent with the CAD files that offer up other info. I was and still am willing to to this for free, however if you want to toss some shipping money out there I'll take it and return any unused funding to Ryan for the general fund. The CDs that I'll send are the little business card size CDs, so I really doubt that there is much of a shipping issue to begin with. As long as your CD drive is a horizontal tray drive, it'll work great for you. Vance
that would be very cool Vance we will continue to try to work out bugs as they appear but the reality is size and format may always be an issue Paul
When I searched the AutoCAD site I found only DWF viewers... www.autodesk.com/dwfviewer-download But in digging further, here is another free viewer that covers the others: http://www.infograph.com/products/dwgviewer/DWGdownload1.asp I guess I kind of answered my own comment. Anyway, thanks for seting this up. This is one of the coolest things since the invention of HAMB. EDIT: I tried it on a few of the drawings and this *FREE* viewer works great: http://www.infograph.com/products/dw...Gdownload1.asp --Matt Franklin .
I went to the Tech Archive deal and tried to download the "dwg" file for the brake mount with r14......"incompatible version".
I just want to say thank you to all of you that did these. I've been tring to find these type of drawings for quite some time. Thanks again. Pat
