This might sound like a stupid question for you guys, but I'm flying to the US in two weeks (from France where I live) and need some bits & pieces for my 1931 Ford 5 Window coupe hot rod (with Ford 289 V8 from 1965 and some go fast goodies on it). Now I have some Autolite 25 spark plugs on the engine and I'd like to buy a few spare sets. Are these plugs easy to find in any store like Pep Boys ? Is there a cross ref chart so I can see if I can use similare plugs by Champion or any other major brand ?
    Thanks:D

You should have no problem finding those at any parts store

Stick with the Autolite. I've had no luck with champion. The 25 is a taper seat plug that fits later chevy heads. I'd look up your aplication and make sure these are the correct plugs.

I looked it up on the Autozone website, and they say a 65 'stang needs Autolite plug #45.

Thanks for your replies. Don't you think the Autolite 45 plugs could be OK for a stock '65 Mustang engine but that mine could need something else ? This 289 has roller rockers, a mild cam, "World Ford" aftermarket heads, Mallory Unilite distributor, Edelbrock 600 cfm carb etc. I didn't build the rod, it was built by Mark Richardson from the Atlanta Road Kings and the motor is a Jasper remanufactured long block. I prefer asking those who know the stuff, than my local car parts dealer who doesn't know the difference between a 1931 4 banger and a 289 V8 !
