Technical Autoloc Suicide Door Locks

Looking for opinions on this brand of suicide door locks. Are Carolina Custom a better lock? What brand is the best???

 

I just installed Autoloc power door locks in my F100. I don't know about the "suicide door locks," but the power door lock kit is very good quality and works very nice, although the wiring harness to the doors was short and I had to add length to the wires on both sides.
There is a caveat however.
While the install instructions were fair for the hardware install, the programming of the fobs was absent. No mention of that whatsoever. In fact the instructions say that once the hardware is installed, to check the function. No mention of programming.
I only give the instruction a "fair" rating, because, first, you have to go to a third party to get the instructions, and, they were a bit vague. This wasa universal kit, and for the experienced mechanic, should not pose a problem.

Don't walk, but run away from any Hoffman product.

 

Autoloc doesn't have a good reputation.

Auto loc = Hoffman ---- Run fast

 

I've had the same style offered by Vintique in my 3W since I built it in '82. Fool proof and offers a solid lockup.
