A good friend of mine stopped by my place today, and had these bitchin Oldsmobile advertisements for me. I bought my 54 olds from him a while back. These are out of issues of LIFE magazine not reprints, 1953 and 1954 time frame. Its neat to see the hand drawn aspects and the new styling (front windshield), it was a big deal back then to have a whole new car design. Here are the two I have acquired so far going to start keeping an eye out for more and framing them. Modern advertising doesn't hold a candle In my opinion.

  6. Gotta love old ads for cars, parts and tools. Aaron Brothers (a craft and framing store) used to have sales on frames (buy 2 get one for a penny) and then was going out of business and I bought a bunch of frames.

    My "office" (spare room).
