Way back in June 2006 I bought this lump of a 31 tudor sedan. I decided to use the chassis from the 30 roadster I was building under the sedan instead. Unfortunately I didn’t know much about building cars and by February of 2007 I ripped it apart and cut the chassis in half out of frustration. I poured my heart out to you guys and I received so much help and encouragement that by March I had the body back on it’s new chassis. In May of 2007 a bunch of HAMBers were kind enough to come over for a garage thrash to get me ready for Billetproof. It was tough but I made the show and realized how glad I was that I didn’t give up.

Since then I’ve struggled quite a bit but with lots of help, saw the project through. So in the span of one year and two weeks I went from having a pile of parts and a chassis cut in half to having a bad ass hot rod that drove under its own power in the basement at Autorama. FAB32 and FuelPump were here for two days before the show helping me get all the lose ends tied up. There is no doubt this car would still be a vision in my head and not sitting out in my driveway if it weren’t for these guys. I can never thank them enough for all they’ve done for me. I want to thank Hatch for coming over and helping me chop my first top. LuckysGal for putting up with me during this build. Everyone who helped out during the garage thrash. My neighbor and his step son who were here till 1:00 AM on a school night the evening before the show. My bodyman Mike for making it look so good. The nightmares C.C. for letting a no car having dork like me hang out with them for the last year and a half. Everyone on the HAMB who’s given me help, advice, and encouragement along the way. Lastly thanks to Ryan for putting together a community of hot rodders like this. I’m really humbled by the amount of support I’ve received while building this car. You guys are great, thanks you so much.

I saw it, looked really good. Keep on keepin on, your on the right path. One of your buddies was showing it to Lowbrow and I and let me have some of his beer, It was beyond horrid, tasted like coffee grounds and rubbing alcahole. (He had a yellow pickup, to drunk to remeber what it was.) Ha,ha.

Enough with the compliments and thank you's already, just pay up for the hours we spent and your good to go.:rolleyes::D
Fuelpump and I were talking before Autorama and both agree that at our age and experience it's much more satisfying to help out a younger builder than do something for ourselves. So, I guess it's us that owe you a thank you. That being said you can just buy Saturday breakfast for the next year and we'll consider it "partial" payment.:)

Cool party, ain't it. If it wasn't for the HAMB, we'd all have more money, and less friends.

When we gonna head to the strip and see how far she'll cook those tires?
(For those that don't know, the motor in this car is the 12.5:1 small block out of Scott's roundy-round car)

It was good hanging with you all weekend... welcome to the club!

I'd still have no money and still no friends but the HAMB rocks and makes me feel wanted, even if it is just for my beer.

Killer ride, Scott. Thanks for chatting it up with us last night. Cool to see you there. Next year maybe Court can park near by!

    Bill,how was you weekend?

  26. Move out at the show is always cool, a lot of the cars will fire up at the same time and it makes for some great hot rod noise.

Well let me tell you, when that puppy fired up all the cars could have been running and you would have still heard it!

    It sounded awesome.

Thanks so much for bringing it to Detroit. It looked great and helped make the show that much better.

I agree. Scott showed more patience than I had at his age. What doesn't kill you makes you a better person.

  29. That thing is nuts. Setting off car alarms when you first fired it up, and the look on your face when you got out. Had fun hanging out this weekend.
