I am starting a AV8 project and still in the planning stage. Goal is a traditional build a la Bishop and Tardel. I have a 30 Ford coupe and a built 8BA. I was told by a friend that back in the day a trick to get room for the engine with stock fan is to use a banjo rear end with the spring behind the axle but move the right side axle to the left of the center section and the left to the right. Which moves the spring to the front of the axle. Then you move the body back so the axle is in the correct position. You end up with more engine room and a longer wheel base. I know there are issues with torque tube and radius rods. I would be interested in hearing from others that have done this. Thanks, Pete
