It would be a real show of class to be there in a hot rod

That would be good maybe at Loring.

My roadster is torn apart for interior work but if it looks like the weather is going to cooperate I may just drive down with a milk crate for a seat. Whats going on on Friday?

To my knowledge nothing is going on, Its about a 3 or so hr ride from here, and I know some of the NY guys are gonna be there too. Just easier and less hectic. I have work and Friday night plans, so Ill be up Saturday.

My flathead is torn down, so I wont be getting there in the roadster which I wish I could. But I will team up with somebody or hotwire something!

    bob,

it was a beautiful morning, temps rising into the 50s, a church parking lot full of hot rods and customs. paul would have had a blast. the honor guard displayed his flag, gave him a 21 gun salute, and played the best single trumpet version of taps i have ever heard. the hall downstairs was lined with panels of photos of him and marge and the girls and sons in law and grandkids, and art work of his roadster. TVs played slide shows and videos. it was, as you would expect, a packed house with no room for more, but more kept coming. a fitting tribute to a man worthy of it.

A nice tribute today by lots of Paul's friends. I tried to take pictures but the hot rods weren't parked close enough together to get real decent shots. Paul's AV-8 was shined up and right at the church door!
