Is your motor that high? How tall are your motor mounts? I recall them being same ht as the top of the frame rail and the rubber biscuit sat on top then the motor sat on top of them. That should get you there. Any higher and your tranny will be up into the cab as well.

What parts are you using? There are several heights of flathead manifold fronts stock and aftermarket...some put the stud down almost to the block top. Position of course also has to take into account fan/distributor clearance. A picture of what you have would be useful here.
Look at the pic Cooter posted...that fan would likely be too high if radiator were a '29, BUT you can see it is on a fairly high manifold front.

Im using Vern Tardel frame brackets set even with the top of the frame and an Offy regular dual intake... Ive seen tons of AV8s with this exact set up but were 30-31s... From the mounting surface to the top of my fan is 24 inches... my rad is 25.5 inches... while from rad mounting to the bottom of the rad tank is 22 inches... i cant cut the fan down 2 inches or can I?! Im seriously confused cause this set up seems to work for so many people.

And the under side of my generator is basically against my intake so its as low as it can go...

  10. You do not need to cut any firewall or otherwise, you do need to trim fan blades, front crank pulley, it will all fit. I trimmed about 3/4" off my fan blades.

I dont have that much room between my rad and firewall... my fan is under my top tank... did you shorten your fan/"spacer"??
